Fidra Energy selects ACCURE for battery analytics at Thorpe Marsh
Aachen, Germany — 14 October 2026 — Fidra Energy has appointed ACCURE Battery Intelligence to support its 3.1GWh Thorpe Marsh battery energy storage project with independent analytics, embedding additional battery expertise from factory testing through to commercial operations.
The partnership forms part of Fidra’s approach to long-term asset management. ACCURE will assess battery data during factory acceptance testing and commissioning, supporting verification of performance against project requirements. During operation, its predictive analytics will track battery health, state of charge and rack availability, helping Fidra identify emerging issues and target maintenance effectively.
Working alongside Fidra’s operations team and complementing the manufacturer’s monitoring systems, ACCURE will provide an additional layer of insight to support safe, reliable performance throughout the asset’s life.
Dr. Kai-Philipp Kairies, CEO and Co-founder of ACCURE, said:
“Thorpe Marsh is a significant project, and we are proud to support Fidra with ACCURE’s combination of predictive battery analytics and specialist engineering expertise. Our team will help identify emerging trends, assess their significance and recommend targeted actions to support battery performance and long-term asset value. ”
Neil Heaybourne, Station Director at Fidra Energy, said:
“At Thorpe Marsh, we are putting the expertise and systems in place to deliver safe, reliable performance for the long term. We selected ACCURE for the strength of its analytics and its commitment to working alongside our team, translating battery data into practical insight that supports confident operational decisions.”
As Thorpe Marsh progresses towards commercial operations in 2027, the partnership will add another layer of specialist insight to support the safe, reliable and long-term performance of what will be the UK’s largest operational BESS site.
