Challenge

Every week of commissioning delay is a week of lost revenue.

Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) isn't a formality. It's the stress test of every rack, container and control loop. Broken sensors, imbalances, SOC estimation errors, or inverter glitches can stall a BESS for weeks, burning cash and goodwill. Independent, data-rich commissioning digs out hidden flaws and confirms you received the capacity you paid for, not just a passing test. A system sold as 100 MWh of nameplate plus 10 MWh of overbuild should show that headroom on day one; if it barely clears 100 MWh at acceptance testing, it may tick the box, but the overbuild you financed is nowhere to be found. ACCURE surfaces that gap and hands you a system that's revenue-ready from hour one.

BESS commissioning services we offer.

ACCURE's independent battery commissioning analytics catch what on-site tests miss, drawing on 24+ GWh of supported capacity across 100+ sites worldwide.

Early identification of installation & system issues

Our analytics detect problems traditional on-site tests miss, from battery balancing to HVAC and BMS faults, surfacing hidden risks before they delay your programme.

Actionable insights for proactive risk mitigation

Field-tested processes aligned to your commissioning schedule, so issues are caught in real time and vendor accountability is clear.

Comprehensive data analysis & reporting

ACCURE consolidates system data into clear reports, from root-cause analysis to recommendations, giving you the evidence for confident decisions and smooth site acceptance.

Catching what FAT missed.

Challenge

Skipping an independent FAT analysis, the operator relied on the vendor’s end-of-line screens. Any later defect could have been blamed on “abusive operation”, exposing the developer to substantial risks.

ACCURE insights

During first cycles, ACCURE reconstructed cell-level internal resistance from routine BMS data. Figure 1 shows three clusters:

- Cluster A — Good: low resistance, tight spread
- Cluster B — OK(ish): elevated resistance, wide spread, traceable to a separate production batch
- Cluster C –  high resistance, wide spread

As all these cells were used in the same site, operational headaches were all but guaranteed – from imbalances today to accelerated aging tomorrow. Because the analysis preceded commercial operation, responsibility remained with the supplier.

Outcome

Our documented findings provided immediate leverage. The vendor replaced the defective racks and amended the warranty, removing latent safety and performance risks and pre-empting future liability disputes.

"ACCURE’s predictive analytics platform not only streamlined our commissioning process but also improved safety and performance, ensuring we’re ready to meet the energy demands of the Texas grid."

How we help with BESS commissioning.

ACCURE pairs independent analytics with performance engineers to surface hidden risks before site acceptance and resolve them fast. We integrate into your commissioning workflow, hold vendors accountable and get sites revenue-ready as quickly and reliably as possible, protecting both your COD date and your warranty position.

FAQs

How does independent analytics speed up BESS commissioning?

By analysing live commissioning data, ACCURE surfaces hidden faults before site acceptance, so they're fixed by the supplier during the programme rather than discovered after handover, protecting your COD date.

How does this protect my COD date?

Catching issues before site acceptance keeps accountability with the supplier and avoids weeks of post-handover troubleshooting, so commercial operation starts on schedule.

Is ACCURE independent of the EPC and supplier?

Yes. ACCURE is independent, giving you an objective view during commissioning and clear vendor accountability.

What faults does commissioning analytics catch?

Broken or mis-calibrated sensors, SOC imbalance, inverter and PCS glitches, and HVAC or BMS faults, the issues traditional on-site tests often miss.

What is BESS site acceptance testing (SAT)?

SAT is the on-site stress test of every rack, container and control loop before a BESS is accepted for commercial operation. ACCURE's analytics add an independent, data-rich layer to it.
