ENGIE selects ACCURE to maximise availability, safety and operational performance at its 200 MW / 800 MWh Vilvoorde site, one of Europe’s largest grid-scale BESS assets

Aachen, Germany - July 2026 - ENGIE, a major player in the energy transition, has selected ACCURE Battery Intelligence (ACCURE) for its 200 MW / 800 MWh asset in Vilvoorde, Belgium, one of Europe’s largest BESS sites.

ENGIE engaged ACCURE following the Vilvoorde battery park’s commissioning in November 2025 to maximise the asset’s performance, ensuring the system operates safely and reliably at full capacity while protecting the revenue it is positioned to generate. ACCURE’s continuous, independent monitoring surfaces developing battery issues before they compound, giving ENGIE's team the insight needed to make proactive maintenance decisions, minimising unplanned downtime and lowering operating costs.

ACCURE's work at Vilvoorde directly supports ENGIE's commitment to safe, reliable energy infrastructure and its broader role in strengthening Belgian grid resilience. By maintaining high asset availability and predictable battery behaviour year after year, the site is well-positioned to make a consistent, long-term contribution to balancing generation and demand across Belgium's electricity network.

ACCURE enables the Vilvoorde battery park’s asset management and operations and maintenance (O&M) teams to identify performance gaps before they escalate, validate warranty and contractual compliance, and reduce unplanned maintenance expenditure - lowering OpEx and protecting long-term asset value.
