ACCURE secures investment from Copec WIND Ventures as it steps into AI optimized operations of grid-scale BESS

• Copec WIND Ventures’ strategic investment in ACCURE Battery Intelligence follows the company’s $16 million Series B in 2025

• Deal marks ACCURE's expansion into AI optimized operations, fully integrating its predictive analytics and performance engineering capabilities into Copec’s asset management practises to maximise returns and operational performance of grid-scale BESS assets

Aachen, Germany – 6 July, 2026 - ACCURE Battery Intelligence, a leading provider of battery analytics and performance engineering solutions for owners and operators of grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), has received a strategic investment from Copec WIND Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Copec, one of Latin America’s largest energy companies.

ACCURE’s award-winning analytics platform pairs artificial intelligence (AI) with physics-based battery models to show owners and operators how their grid-scale assets are really performing, from portfolio to cell level. Alongside the platform, ACCURE’s performance engineers work with clients to turn those insights into tangible outcomes, applying them to commercial and operational decisions to enhance revenue, cut OpEx and mitigate risk. Today, ACCURE supports more than 24 GWh of capacity worldwide.

As part of this partnership, ACCURE is working with Copec to develop AI optimised technical asset management capabilities across Copec's significant battery storage pipeline in Latin America. This partnership represents their joint commitment to optimize operations and unlock value from Copec's assets, and marks the first time ACCURE moves beyond the analytics platform and performance engineering solutions to actively improve assets at scale, optimizing battery storage assets’ operations and maintenance.

By correcting it at Gore Street Capital’s Dogfish asset in ERCOT, ACCURE identified an estimated 5%+ uplift in trading revenue. That same independent analytics also underpin insurer best practices in battery risk management. ACCURE works with leading insurers including HDI and kWh Analytics, each of whom recognize continuous safety monitoring as part of their risk evaluation frameworks.

Copec selected ACCURE for its proven track record supporting grid-scale BESS at scale, across the world's leading storage markets, including the US, UK and Australia. ACCURE's founding team, PhD researchers from RWTH Aachen, one of Europe's leading battery research institutions, has built expertise across multiple markets that Copec can now leverage across its Latin American pipeline.
